Description |
Porcelain teapot in the "English Rose" pattern with a spare, Neoclassical silhouette and straight spout. The handle consists of two twined porcelain strands with orange-painted floral decoration at the base where they meet the body. The teapot has a white ground on which is a painted a small pink floral sprig design at the center of the body on each side. Three thin orange bands encircle the teapot at the top and these are overlaid with four painted floral sprig designs at regularly spaced intervals. The decoration on the lid repeats this pattern and terminates in a large strawberry finial. |
