The award has black Old English font text: "Proclamation / know ye all persons / that: / Philip D. Laird / is known for his skill and experience in the ancient art of / dispensing cheer, and for his high professional standards. / And be it known: that upon his discrimination depends / the pleasure and satisfaction of those subject to his / ministrations. / And be it known: that Carstairs White Seal, being a / perfectly balanced blend for the man who cares, is a / fitting attribute to his art. And therefore this Procla- / mation is presented in recognition of his good taste / and honest efforts to please. / In testimony whereof, we make this award. / Carstairs Award Committee / P.J.
