Description |
Little League baseball award presented to Mayor Daniel Frawley by the Wilmington Optimist Little League. The award consists of an oak-veneered, particle board back to which is affixed a 3 1/4" x 3 1/8" brass baseball and glove model. Beneath the brass glove is a 3 5/8" x 2 1/8" engraved brass plaque with text: "Presented to / Mayor Dan Frawley / In appreciation for / your support / Wilmington Optimist L.L. / 1989." There is a single vertical hanging hole at the back. The Wilmington Optimist Little League was started in 1952 with four teams and the games were played in South Wilmington at a field next to Eden Park. |
