Native American stone ax head, probably from the mid to late Archaic Period (6000-1000 BC), that tapers at one end and has a 1" groove at about 2 1/2" in from one side. There are two old paper labels affixed to one side, but neither is legible any longer. The stone surface has old hand-written pen text around the label: "From J.H.J. Bush / [?] / from [hard slate?] / Bucks Co. / PA."
