Description Sword bayonet for a Model 1853 English artillery rifle. The bayonet has a slightly curved yataghan blade that is 22 7/8" long with a wide 15 1/4: long fuller. There are no manufacturer's marks. The worn grip has a cross-hatched pattern with four steel rivets on one side and three rivets and a screw on the reverse. The upper portion of the hilt is slotted with a push pin for rifle attachment.
