Description Hand-sewn silk child's day dress with a full skirt, round, neck and long, puffed sleeves. It has a vertical striped pattern in blue, white, tan, and a mottled ivory Ombré stripe. It has a back closure with ten small, round decorative buttons (black enameled steel with a filed design of small circles). There is also a single button closure at each sleeve and the star pattern on the right button does not match the circles on the others. There is a small applied oval fabric decoration with a ruffled edge at each shoulder that is made from the same fabric as the rest of the dress. A whole panel of silk has been removed from the skirt and there is a pocket sewn into the left seam that seems to be original.
