Description Silver Queen Anne style porringer that is circular in shape with bulbous sides, a 1/4" upright rim, and a pierced, scalloped triangular handle with "MG" engraved on the face. It is marked "IN" in a heart over pellets on the underside of the bowl.

Provenance This piece is one of a pair of porringers said to have belonged to Mary (Rudderow) Gatteau, who married Joshua Maddox in 1725. The mate of this piece is part of the Mabel Grady Garvan Collection at Yale University. The Delaware Historical Society purchased the piece by subscription from David Stockwell in 1947.
