Unfinished marking sampler on linen with a stylized floral border of peach, yellow, and brown flowers. The work is laid out in bands with the top section consisting of the alphabet in upper case letters followed by the numbers one through nine. This is followed by a lower case alphabet, then script capitals, then eyelet capitals. The lower half of the design is unfinished and mostly empty but contains an embroidered central vase and flowers motif (the flowers are similar to those of the border) and an unfinished apple.
