Description Rectangular marketing or gardening basket with rounded corners and reinforcing strips around the top. The basket is made from wide, thin strips of wood interwoven in two directions and has an arched handle and two bottom runners that are stained green and held on with nails.

Provenance Mr. DuPont gave these baskets to employees at Christmas time filled with turkeys and other holiday foods. According to the donor, the basket came from Mr. & Mrs. Rhoades, who worked for Henry Francis DuPont on the Winterthur Estate.
