Native American stone ax head (?), probably from the mid to late Archaic Period (6000-1000 BC). There looks to be a groove at one end but the ax head seems to have been broken on both sides. There is an old red and white typewritten label affixed to one side: "Nov 1874 Indian Relic. / [foun]d near Chestnut & / Jackson Sts. Mr. Thos. D. / Nizar."
