Description Unframed, black & white etching of Grace United Methodist Church at 9th and West Streets in Wilmington by Robert Shaw (1859-1912). The building was designed by Thomas Dixon and built in 1868. The etching depicts a view of a Victorian Gothic style church building with two towers from a street corner. There are two horse-drawn carriages visible on the street in addition to five pedestrians (two couples and one lone woman). The image has a printed "Rob Shaw 1893" in the lower left corner and a "Rob Shaw" in pencil, also near the lower left corner. There is old pencil text written on the back: "Grace M.E. Church / Wilmington / Del. / From Rob Shaw Estate / March 1915."
