The obverse side depicts a capped bust facing left with seven stars on the left and six on the right with the date 1834 below. The reverse side depicts an eagle with "E Pluribus Unum" in a banner with "United States of America" above and "50 c" below. The edge has "fifty cents or half dollar" overlapping.|
