Provenance This ladle originally belonged to Colonel Thomas & Sarah Lowen Cooch and descended in the family to their son Thomas Cooch. Jr., then to his daughter Elizabeth Cooch Maxwell. She left it in her will to her grand-nephew, George Maxwell Tybout and it then descended to Miss Ella Middleton Tybout.
