Makers mark Advertising label for George Whitelock is located on the inside door of one of the cupboards.
Description Hepplewhite-Sheraton style sideboard with a kidney-shaped front and four slender, tapered legs. The piece has four bowed doors and one central bowed drawer. There are four original pieces of brass hardware and elaborate satinwood inlay decoration. There are two craftsmen's labels inside the drawers and one on the inside of the cupboard door: "George Whitelock, Cabinet and Chairmaker... Articles in his line may be supplied on the shortest notice."
