Description Model 1850 Foot Officer's sword with decorative engraving on the steel blade (so corroded it is hard to make out). The guard is brass and cast with openwork foliage designs and oak leaves and acorns near the pommel. The grey shagreen grip is wrapped with brass wire. The leather scabbard has simple brass fittings, the top one of which is engraved with the script initials "E.W.W." on one side.
