Description Pair of ladies' purple satin button boots that are part of a reception/dinner outfit that belonged to Annie B. Lane Elliot (1849-1933; Mrs. Alfred Elliot) of Wilmington. The boots have a low 1 1/4" heel and ten-button closure. The buttons are black-painted wood. The tops of each boot have a 1 1/2" wide bright scarlet band around the inside while the rest of the boot is lined in a white twill weave heavy cotton. There is no visible maker's stamp.
