Description Miniature portrait of an unknown gentleman (possibly from the Black, Cooper, Janvier, Armitage, or Grey families of New Castle). The subject has brown hair, blue eyes, and large sideburns. He wears a black coat, waistcoat, & tie and a white shirt and is presented against a dark red curtain that is drawn to the left. The portrait is framed under glass in a silver oval frame with a window at the back for a lock of hair (none present).
