Description Fan back Windsor side chair with a saddle seat and seven plain central spindles, with the outer spindles having vase-and-ring turnings at the top and bottom; serpentine, curved crest rail; vase-and-ring turned, splayed legs with an H-stretcher that is bulbous at the center; newer brown paint with traces of green paint visible under the seat; numbered "II" on the bottom of the seat. The seat is probably maple, the spindles are hickory, and the seat is pine.
