Description Plaster display maquette submitted as a potential design for the Delaware Tercentenary Commemorative half-dollar. The 8" diameter round plaster design is inset into a wooden display board that is covered in black velvet. The design depicts a starboard side view of a three-masted sailing ship (the Kalmar Nyckel) surrounded by text: "Liberty / In God We Trust / 1938." The design has a light tan glaze.
