Description Woman's woolen paisley shawl with an oval black center that is superimposed with foliate designs at the top and bottom and half medallions at each side. The color scheme is mostly red with teal accents and there is a fringe along one of the short edges.

Provenance Received as part of a large group of items that came from the Ward, Bush, and MacArthur families. The donor is a niece of Christopher L. Ward (1868-1943), a Wilmington civic leader and past president of the Delaware Historical Society.
