This item may be a contemporary counterfeit because the design appears to be struck in copper, there are no dentils, and the edge is too clean.

The portrait is displayed in an oval window beneath a piece of revers-painted glass, which is black with a gold border around the image and gold rosettes in each corner. The frame is rectangular and gilded. There is an original framer's label affixed to the center top edge on the back: "Artistic framing / 924 Chestnut Street / F. Pulaski & Co

There is an impressed "Museum" stamp in reverse lettering under the portrait from Peale's Museum. The frame is black-painted wood with a gold inner frame that is decorated with gold foliage motifs.

The very worn, black-painted frame is step molded.

Silver Neoclassical style teapot with fruitwood handle and a square base. There is gallery decoration around the upper rim and the lid terminates in a pineapple finial. The body is engraved with "SSD" surrounded by garlands on one side. There is beaded decoration along the seams.

Tilt-top round table on a tripod base with a vasiform, ring-turned shaft and snake feet with shallow pads. There is a slight lip around the rim of the top. The turned shaft supports a birdcage device that allows the table to rotate as well as tilt. The brass tilt-top switch is 19th or 20th century.
